1. Automated promotions of SBI CLERK is as follows:

cadre and completed ten years of service will be promoted
to the post of Senior Assistant. There will be an increment in the form of a
special allowance of Rs.1800/-.

A person who works for twenty years will be promoted to the
post of Special Assistant. This post will give them a special allowance
of Rs.2500/- which will be ranked for DA &
HRA

A person who has completed thirty years in clerical cadre will
be promoted to the post of Senior Special Assistant.
This post will give a special allowance of
Rs.3500/- which will be ranked for DA & HRA.
2. Promotion
of SBI clerk to officer cadre

As a Trainee officer
·
Candidates working after three years for SBI clerk can become trainee
officer after qualifying written test and interview. They are placed under
probation for a period of two years. A successful completion of probation,
the trainee officer will be promoted to MMGS-II
cadre or sent back to clerical cadre in case his or her performance is not up
to the mark.

Directly Promoted as JMGS-I
·
Candidate can be directly promoted to JMGS – I only after six
years of service under fast track promotion channel or after twelve years of
service under normal promotion channel. Fast track will allow him or her to
appear in a written test followed by interview subject to age limit.
